Greenland has a traditional fishery and a surging tourism industry. This retired fishing vessel, a vintage side-trawler, now carries tourists to the spectacular Ilulissat Ice Fjord.

In Iceland, geology is raw and real. Hikers zig-zag down Blahnukur Mountain, with a black lava field on their left and a glacial outwash plain on their right.

Newfoundland

The traditional inshore fishery is gone, but you can't take the fishing culture out of Newfoundland and Labrador. "Newfy speedboats," now made of fiberglass, are still the universal conveyance in coastal outports. Lark Harbour, Bay of Islands.
